The sun beats down as I stand on the ridge. My body screams for water, and the sound of flowing water to the north-west is a siren call. The descent is steep and will be grueling, but I have no choice. The heavy beast to the south ignores me for now. I must move, slowly, step by step.

The sound of water calls me. Every step is agony, but I cannot stay here. I will crawl if I must.

Darkness surrounds me, the ground steep and treacherous. My body screams for water and food, every heartbeat a hammer in my skull. I hear water to the north-west, downhill. I have no choice but to move toward it, slowly, carefully, or I will die here.
